Mr. McCarthy is a co-founder of the American Dream Fund, an operator of multiple EB-5 Regional Centers nationwide, and a partner with the Los Angeles and Seattle-based law firm, McCarthy Nehring PS. Mr. McCarthy’s primary area of legal expertise is immigration law, including all facets of EB-5 immigration. Through his involvement as a regional center principal, and separately as an immigration attorney, Mr. McCarthy has been involved in EB-5 capital deployment of greater than $750 million (USD) to job-creating enterprises.

In his role as an attorney, Mr. McCarthy is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and served for four years as the Legislative Committee Chair for the Association to Invest in USA (IIUSA); a national trade association of EB-5 Regional Centers responsible for leading EB-5 reform in the United States Congress.  In this capacity, alongside other IIUSA leadership, he participated in working on three pieces of legislation currently before both the House and Senate that, if passed, would make the EB-5 Regional Center program permanent and enacted much needed reform to the immigrant investor program.

Mr. McCarthy is a widely recognized speaker about EB-5 immigration law both domestically and in China. He frequently speaks about EB-5 to developers and business professionals, government officials, attorneys, and individuals interested in immigrating through the EB-5 program. For his work in EB-5, Mr. McCarthy was acknowledged by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the “Who’s Who in Real Estate”. Mr. McCarthy also serves on the Editorial Board for the EB-5 Investors Magazine and recently authored multiple chapters of the EB-5 Handbook.

George Ekins is a principal of American Dream Fund, LLC. He is responsible for organizing, administering, and promoting EB-5 capital projects and has been involved in the successful raise of more than $500 million in EB-5 capital for multiple projects. Mr. Ekins is a member of the Board of Directors and the President’s Advisory Council for Invest in USA (IIUSA), the national trade association for EB-5 Regional Centers and service providers. He has been invited to speak at meetings and seminars in both China and the United States.

In addition, Mr. Ekins has been involved in the purchase and sale of more than $1 billion of real estate throughout his tenure with the commercial real estate firm Marcus & Millchap. Mr. Ekins also owns and manages a commercial real estate portfolio valued at over $80 million. Before his present career, Mr. Ekins lived in China operating manufacturing facilities and managing international exports in China and Taiwan. He is a licensed commercial real estate broker, holds a BA in international business, and is conversant in Mandarin.

Senior Project Manager

As Senior Project Manager for American Dream Fund, Ms. Yang is responsible for establishing and maintaining agent and investor relations, preparing and coordinating the launch of new project offerings and marketing events (investor seminars, conferences, etc.), and overseeing American Dream Fund operations throughout China. Ms. Yang has a strong background in sales and economics and adeptly manages complex overseas event, travel and sales schedules for the company. She also prepares regular investor and sales meetings reports. She is educated in economics and management and is conversant in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Bonnie Mai

Ms. Mai is responsible for agent and investor relations as well as procumbent for Southern China and Hong Kong. She holds a degree in foreign languages and is fluent in three languages: English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is a key member of our investor relations team, and serves a valuable role in planning and coordinating our investor events in China.

Joey Lyu is an all-around EB-5 practitioner. He is responsible for business and investor relations for Northern China. He has been dedicated to EB-5 services for many years, aiding hundreds investors through various immigration and source of funds procedures. He holds the degrees both in engineering and literature and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Japanese.
